PRESIDENT
Columbus (Indiana) Area Chamber of Commerce

The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a President to lead its efforts to further its goals and objectives to serve as a community catalyst for continued growth. The Chamber is a private, not-for-profit, membership driven organization that was recognized as the 2009 National Chamber of the Year. The Chamber engages its members in the pursuit of excellence and economic growth by fostering an innovative business environment, in a world-class community.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, and working in partnership with the Board, staff, membership and other community organizations, the President is responsible for the strategic, marketing, financial and administrative leadership of the Chamber.

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree and 7-10+ years of successful business, Chamber or not-for-profit leadership experience. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative leadership style and an entrepreneurial spirit are required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and a strong understanding of consensus and relationship building. Recruitment and development experience with volunteers - from community leaders to senior executives is desired.
